Karen works as a business account manager in our commercial property and casualty department and has been instrumental in making sure that our clients have an insurance program that addresses their individual needs. Here is a quick Q&A with Karen!

What is your role at KRA?

I am a business client manager, and I handle the day-to-day maintenance and service of my assigned clients.

What would people never guess you do in your role?

I remind some clients over and over and over again to pay their bills!

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

I love my interactions with clients, coworkers, and company reps.

Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

A girlfriend and I pumped gas at her parents’ gas station. (It didn’t last very long!)

What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

I enjoy kayaking and yoga.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?

I couldn’t live without my family.

What is your hidden talent or an interesting fact about you?

I started a diversity committee in my town. We try to introduce/celebrate holidays that some may not be familiar with (Chinese New Year, Purim, Diwali). We also held our first-ever Day of Service on Martin Luther King Day at the local nursing home.

What is your favorite movie and/or book? Why?

My favorite movie is Boys on the Side. It’s all about how important friendship with your girlfriends is and how you can get through just about anything with them.

When are you happiest?

I am happiest when I’m with my daughter.
